Manager, Pharmacy Technicians

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the triage process for prior authorizations.

• Supervise a team of pharmacy technicians.

• Manage the workflow within the department.

• Identify and establish procedures and policies for prior authorizations.

• Collaborate with various departments to investigate and resolve escalated complaints and inquiries.

• Monitor the prior authorization processes, adjusting policies and procedures as needed.

• Ensure operational integrity and adherence to established policies and procedures.

• Monitor prior authorization activities and assess staffing requirements.

• Supervise departmental performance by reviewing reports and audit results.

• Ensure that provider notification letters are sent accurately and promptly.

• Conduct quality control checks and suggest enhancements.

• Communicate with providers and pharmacies regarding the clinical outcomes of prior authorization requests.

• Manage pharmacy systems to track and triage prior authorization requests for Medicaid and Medicare Part D coverage determinations.

• Assess the necessity for pharmacist review.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of pharmacy technician experience in a mail order prescription facility, hospital pharmacy, or retail pharmacy setting.

• At least 1 year of combined experience in a lead or supervisory role, along with customer service experience.

• Current Pharmacy Technician license from the relevant state is preferred.

• National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) is preferred.
