This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership of Pharmacy and Health Management.
• Offer expertise in pharmacy benefit management, clinical pharmacy strategy, provider engagement, population health, and healthcare transformation.
• Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives that further MVP's Empowered Well-Being strategy.
• Enhance partnerships with providers and pharmacies while optimizing medication-related outcomes.
• Update pharmacy and clinical operating models.
• Assess, refine, and advance strategic priorities across pharmacy and clinical functions.
• Provide guidance on pharmacy benefit strategy, medication management programs, clinical pharmacy services, and emerging trends in healthcare.
• Evaluate pharmacy programs, processes, and organizational capabilities for modernization prospects.
• Aid in the development and implementation of future-state pharmacy strategies.
• Offer advice on PBM operations, formulary strategy, utilization management, specialty pharmacy, and value-based care models.
• Foster collaboration among pharmacy, provider, and clinical teams.
• Evaluate opportunities for strategic partnerships.
• Promote initiatives related to population health, chronic condition management, preventive care, medication adherence, digital health, care coordination, and whole-person health management.
• Lead strategic planning discussions, leadership sessions, and cross-functional stakeholder meetings.
• Conduct evaluations and provide objective recommendations concerning program effectiveness and operational opportunities.
• Support change management efforts for pharmacy and clinical transformation.
• Create executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
• Bring in external market intelligence, healthcare industry insights, and best practices to strategic discussions.
• Keep track of emerging trends and encourage innovative strategic problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership, consulting, or strategic advisory experience in healthcare, pharmacy, health plan, PBM, or provider environments.
• Proven expertise in pharmacy benefit management, clinical pharmacy strategy, population health, or healthcare transformation.
• Experience in influencing and advising senior leaders on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, pharmacy operations, provider engagement, and value-based care models.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating across multiple teams and functions.
• Preferred: PharmD, MBA, MHA, MPH, or another advanced degree.
• Preferred: Experience in a health plan, PBM, integrated delivery system, provider organization, or healthcare consulting firm.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting pharmacy transformation, operating model redesign, clinical program development, or healthcare modernization efforts.
• Preferred: Demonstrated success in advising executive leadership on complex strategic initiatives.
