This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee HR operations initiatives from inception to completion by defining scope, responsibilities, milestones, risks, and success criteria.
• Act as the primary functional leader for essential People technology platforms, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, and performance management tools.
• Configure platforms, handle upgrades, and assess features.
• Lead technology implementations, platform transitions, and module deployments in collaboration with IT, HRIS, and vendor teams.
• Conduct research and benchmark HR technology trends while maintaining a People technology roadmap.
• Utilize AI and emerging tools to enhance workflows in People Operations.
• Develop and uphold data governance standards across HR systems.
• Design and execute a tiered HR support model that includes ownership, escalation pathways, and service levels.
• Map current and future-state workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to minimize manual tasks and optimize automation.
• Create and manage a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation library.
• Ensure compliance with I-9/E-Verify, records retention, and system access auditing.
• Keep abreast of developments in employment law and data privacy, translating changes into compliant configurations and workflows.
• Oversee Employer of Record (EOR) providers and manage software vendor relationships, including escalation and accountability discussions.
• Promote alignment among managers, HR leadership, and various stakeholders.
• Experience leading People Operations programs in a rapidly growing technology environment, adept at navigating ambiguity and establishing structure in previously undefined areas.
• Held the role of functional owner or administrator for HR platforms such as HRIS, ATS, or LMS, with responsibilities for configuration, rollouts, and cross-functional collaboration with IT and vendors.
• Developed or contributed to a People technology roadmap, including tool evaluation, benchmarking alternatives, and presenting investment proposals to leadership.
• Documented and reengineered people processes throughout the employee lifecycle, demonstrating a consistent ability to reduce manual steps and enhance experiences for both employees and operators.
• Influenced cross-functional collaborators in Payroll, Finance, IT, or Legal to embrace new workflows or operational methods, even without direct authority over those teams.
• Utilized structured project management methodologies for initiatives involving multiple stakeholders: created clear plans, tracked dependencies, communicated risks proactively, and provided executive-ready status updates.
• Established or reinforced data governance standards in HR systems, conducting data quality audits, approving mass changes, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with multiple teams.
• Managed compliance programs, including I-9/E-Verify, records retention, or data privacy regulations with a proactive stance.
• Effectively communicated across all organizational levels, from frontline employees to leadership, adjusting messages without compromising content.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Paylocity, Lattice, or ChartHop, or a proven history of transitioning between significant HR platforms.
