This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the preparation and processing of global payroll via Rippling.
• Perform pre-payroll audits and confirm employee details, compensation, deductions, and payroll data.
• Analyze post-payroll reports and assist in payroll reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee payroll inquiries.
• Keep precise payroll documentation and records.
• Collaborate with Finance and internal stakeholders on payroll-related issues.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities and necessary reporting.
• Ensure payroll practices align with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage employee benefits, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other sponsored benefits.
• Process benefit enrollments, modifications, qualifying life events, and terminations.
• Guide employees regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, coverage, and inquiries about benefits.
• Work alongside brokers, carriers, and vendors to resolve enrollment and coverage concerns.
• Facilitate Open Enrollment, benefit communications, system setup, enrollment processes, and post-enrollment audits.
• Review payroll deductions in relation to benefit elections.
• Aid in benefit invoice reconciliation, eligibility audits, and reporting.
• Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
• Maintain employee information and documentation in Rippling and other People systems.
• Prepare employment documentation and employee correspondence.
• Uphold confidentiality of employee records.
• Address employee questions and provide timely support.
• Assist with HR reporting, workforce data, employee data audits, leave administration, compliance activities, and necessary HR documentation.
• Provide recruiting support, including coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, preparing offer documentation, conducting background checks, and managing pre-employment activities.
• Organize new-hire onboarding and ensure employees are set up in Rippling and relevant systems.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and internal teams on onboarding processes.
• Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding communications.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, People Operations, payroll, benefits, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Rippling payroll processing is required.
• Proven ability to independently prepare and process payroll using Rippling.
• Experience in reviewing and auditing payroll prior to submission and resolving discrepancies.
• Direct experience in benefits administration.
• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems that extend beyond basic employee self-service functionality.
• Experience in supporting onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HR administration.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and payroll requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accuracy.
• Capability to manage recurring deadlines, particularly related to payroll and benefits.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
• Capacity to work independently while recognizing when to escalate issues.
• Flexibility to shift priorities and support various areas within People & Culture.
• Preferred: experience in processing multi-state or global payroll.
• Preferred: experience with a remote or geographically diverse workforce.
• Preferred: experience in administering benefits via Rippling.
• Preferred: experience in managing Open Enrollment and annual benefit renewals.
• Preferred: experience with payroll reconciliations, benefit invoice reconciliations, and HR data audits.
• Preferred: familiarity with using Rippling for payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, reporting, and employee management.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plus.
