This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee HR operations programs from start to finish, defining scope, stakeholders, milestones, risks, and success metrics.
β’ Manage essential People technology platforms, including their configuration, upgrades, and feature assessments.
β’ Direct technology deployments, platform migrations, and module rollouts involving IT, HRIS, and vendor teams.
β’ Investigate HR technology trends and maintain a roadmap for People technology.
β’ Utilize AI and emerging tools to enhance workflows in People Operations.
β’ Establish and enforce data governance standards across all HR systems.
β’ Design and implement a tiered HR support structure with clear ownership, escalation paths, and defined service levels.
β’ Map workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to minimize manual tasks and maximize automation.
β’ Create and maintain a library of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for the function.
β’ Ensure compliance with I-9/E-Verify regulations, records retention, and system access auditing.
β’ Keep abreast of employment law and data privacy changes, translating them into compliant workflows and configurations.
β’ Manage relationships with EOR and software vendors, handling escalations and accountability discussions.
β’ Foster alignment among managers, HR leadership, and various stakeholders.
β’ Proven experience leading People Operations programs in a rapidly growing technology setting.
β’ Experience serving as a functional owner or administrator of HR platforms such as HRIS, ATS, or LMS, including their configuration, rollouts, and cross-departmental coordination.
β’ Background in developing or contributing to a People technology roadmap, assessing tools, benchmarking options, and presenting investment cases to leadership.
β’ Experience in documenting and redesigning people processes throughout the complete employee lifecycle.
β’ Ability to influence Payroll, Finance, IT, or Legal partners without direct authority.
β’ Structured project management experience with initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies, risk communication, and executive-ready status reports.
β’ Experience in establishing or enforcing HR data governance standards, including data quality audits, mass change approvals, and corrective actions.
β’ Familiarity with managing compliance programs such as I-9/E-Verify, records retention, or data privacy requirements.
β’ Strong and clear communication skills across different organizational levels.
