This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Continuously enhance People Operations processes including onboarding, offboarding, management of worker data, promotions, transfers, and leave of absence handling.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, procedures, and compliance necessities.
• Ensure the integrity of HRIS data through routine audits and corrective measures.
• Address HRIS and People & Culture systems challenges, data inconsistencies, integration issues, and access problems in collaboration with IT or vendors.
• Assist with system upgrades and new module implementations via user acceptance testing and documentation.
• Educate People & Culture team members and managers on the correct usage of systems.
• Create complex people analytics reports and workflows for leadership and compliance objectives.
• Lead or assist in cross-functional projects, including performance and compensation cycles, system implementations, and policy revisions.
• Draft and revise standard operating procedures, policies, and internal People Operations resources.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to employment laws.
• Escalate and resolve complex employee relations inquiries in partnership with People & Culture Business Partners.
• Oversee due diligence for remote work abroad and support immigration cases and international relocations by coordinating with legal partners and tracking case progress.
• Mentor junior members of the People Operations team.
• Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment in handling sensitive employee information.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR/People Operations, HRIS administration, or related generalist roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance standards.
• Practical experience with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or equivalent.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with comfort in working with data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
• A mindset focused on process improvement.
• High level of discretion and professionalism in managing confidential information.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Legally permitted to work in Canada at the time of hire and does not require employer sponsorship for a work visa, present or future.
• Candidates must successfully complete a background check.
• Experience in benefits administration, leave management, and/or compensation processes is advantageous.
• CPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Experience in a high-growth or scaling company setting is beneficial.
• Global company people operations experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with payroll processes and systems integration is an advantage.
• Experience in developing or enhancing employee self-service resources is welcome.
• Experience in managing global mobility and immigration programs is an advantage.
