Global People Operations Generalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire onboarding process, which includes managing employment agreements, coordinating across departments, conducting background checks, verifying eligibility, and ensuring a welcoming experience on the first day.

• Assist with recruiting initiatives.

• Address inquiries related to benefits in the US and Canada, manage the US open enrollment period, oversee benefits administration, and liaise with the US benefits broker.

• Manage HR systems such as Namely, Lever, Metacompliance, CultureAmp, and Google Workspace, ensuring that employee data is accurate and audit-ready.

• Keep employee files and status changes compliant with policy and retention guidelines.

• Provide support to the CFO, COO, and VP of Global People Operations with audit-related documentation.

• Ensure that documentation for the employee lifecycle process is up to date for employees, interns, and contractors.

• Generate HR system reports and maintain the integrity and consistency of data.

• Assist in executing rewards, recognition, and learning and development initiatives.

• Contribute to the culture team.

• Collaborate with Legal and Finance on policy implementations, US tax registrations, and various ad hoc projects.

• Respond to HR inquiries and identify ways to enhance process efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of comprehensive HR or People Operations experience, preferably in a dynamic tech environment.

• Practical experience with HRIS and HR technology.

• Knowledge of US and Canadian benefits and employment practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.

• BA/BS degree is preferred.
