Senior People and Talent Manager

📋 Description

• Supervise recruitment and personnel operations within Movement Strategy and Newfangled Studios.

• Report directly to the Director of People while working closely with hiring managers, department heads, and leadership teams.

• Manage the complete recruiting cycle for both agencies, encompassing intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and closing.

• Collaborate with hiring managers to establish standards of creative excellence through scorecards, interview plans, and panel configurations.

• Source candidates for creative, strategy, paid media, and account positions.

• Develop talent pipelines for recurring roles.

• Assess portfolios, books, and reels impartially.

• Oversee recruiting operations in Greenhouse, ensuring data integrity, stage consistency, and reporting accuracy.

• Uphold a structured, consistent, defensible, and equitable recruitment process.

• Draft, revise, and maintain policies and employee handbooks for two operating companies.

• Ensure multi-state employment compliance, covering wage and hour regulations, classification, notices, and postings.

• Manage the full cycle of leaves and accommodations, including the interactive process and necessary documentation.

• Oversee employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through status changes, offboarding, and record maintenance.

• Assist with performance and engagement cycles, including reviews and surveys.

• Enhance and refine people processes.

• Act as an internal DEI thought partner alongside the fractional DEI partner.

• Integrate inclusive practices into hiring and policy frameworks.

• Guarantee equitable access to development, opportunities, and recognition.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting within an agency, creative, or media setting.

• Background in recruiting for roles where portfolio, book, or reel holds as much significance as the resume.

• Proficiency in sourcing and engaging passive candidates within creative and social domains.

• Familiarity with an ATS; experience with Greenhouse or similar systems is preferred.

• Solid understanding of multi-state employment laws.

• Demonstrated ability in policy writing.

• Experience in administering leaves and accommodations, including the interactive process.

• Proficient with an HRIS; experience with Rippling and Lattice or similar systems is advantageous.

• Over 6 years of experience in HR and recruiting, with extensive knowledge on both fronts.

• Comfort working in an agency environment with shifting priorities.

• A current, substantive perspective on DEI in practice.

• Experience collaborating with external advisors or consultants on DEI initiatives.

• High energy, curiosity, confidence, and determination.

• Ability to communicate quickly and accurately, think on your feet, and present with confidence.

• Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.

• Skill in balancing recruitment urgency with precise policy and compliance adherence.

• An adaptable self-starter able to adjust to the evolving needs of internal and external teams.

• Proactive interest in the digital and social landscape.

• Proven track record of building relationships, leading teams, influencing others, and navigating culture across two agencies.

• A diverse and inclusive perspective that translates into actionable changes.

• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly regarding compliance, offer letters, and employment records.
