Founding Director – People

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of corporate recruiting, overseeing everything from role definition and sourcing to assessment, offers, and finalizing hires.

• Assist founders and functional leaders in prioritizing hiring needs, evaluating talent, and making effective hiring choices.

• Develop efficient interview processes, recruiting tools, and metrics to enhance speed, quality, and the candidate experience.

• Create onboarding procedures, practical policies, and daily HR processes; become a reliable resource for both managers and employees.

• Recognize the need for additional recruiting and People capacity, then recruit and nurture the team accordingly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in personally sourcing and securing top corporate talent across various functions and seniority levels.

• In-house experience at a startup or growing organization, with significant responsibilities extending beyond recruiting.

• Strong judgment, high emotional intelligence, and the confidence to provide advice to founders and hiring managers.

• Excellent execution skills: you act swiftly, manage competing priorities effectively, and ensure follow-through.

• A passion for building—setting clear direction, establishing efficient processes, and being hands-on in the work.

• Experience working at a recruiting or executive search firm followed by an in-house role is particularly relevant.
