This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee large national accounts
• Establish direct client relationships to support sales initiatives through account servicing and face-to-face meetings
• Act as the primary engineering or architectural lead for national accounts
• Manage a technical review workload and assign reviews to support staff as necessary
• Ensure projects are adequately staffed, executed to high-quality standards, and delivered on schedule
• Supervise Building Assessment projects carried out by associate consultants (1099s)
• Ensure projects align with client objectives and scope expectations
• Train and mentor junior team members
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of client objectives and facilitate consulting delivery
• Conduct and evaluate commercial real estate consulting projects, including due diligence, regulatory programs, and field investigations
• 10+ years of experience is preferred for the ideal candidate
• Required experience in conducting Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and evaluating buildings using thorough engineering/architectural practices
• Preferred experience in performing and reviewing Equity projects
• Knowledge of evaluating commercial, manufacturing/industrial, office, retail, shopping center, and multi-family properties
• Strong preference for experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
• Personable and capable of engaging with individuals at all levels
• Willing to travel as necessary
• Ability to work efficiently and independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Significant experience in design and/or construction
• Preferred experience in construction management
• Experience managing vendors and subcontractors is a plus
• Familiarity with bidding and project cost estimation
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is required
• Preferred certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to sit, type, operate office and/or field equipment, speak, and hear
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, balance, kneel, or crouch
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
