This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Manage the comprehensive global payroll process for employees and contractors, ensuring that payments, deductions, reimbursements, and modifications are accurate, timely, compliant, and reconciled.
• Calculate and verify variable compensation and bonuses for executives and non-GTM personnel, coordinating finalized data, payroll execution, controls, and reconciliation with the GTM variable-pay partner.
• Develop and maintain a global payroll calendar that outlines clear cutoffs, review cycles, approval processes, funding timelines, and reimbursement service levels.
• Design and oversee equity and long-term incentive programs, including grants, vesting, exercises, and terminations, while ensuring the accuracy of records and cap-table integrity in collaboration with Finance and Legal.
• Manage global benefits administration across various markets, balancing statutory and supplemental programs with employee value, compliance, and cost considerations.
• Monitor benefits utilization, market competitiveness, employee feedback, and expenditures; propose data-driven modifications as necessary.
• Ensure the integrity of payroll and equity data across BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, and Carta, including workflows, integrations, permissions, and reporting.
• Oversee global employment operations, managing EOR/PEO relationships from a payroll standpoint and ensuring provider governance.
• Handle contracts, funding, service levels, reconciliations, escalations, and periodic evaluations of provider performance.
• Identify recurring issues and manual tasks, implementing sustainable solutions.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in global payroll, total rewards, benefits, HRIS, or people operations, with significant ownership of multi-country payroll processes.
• Proven experience in managing direct-entity, EOR/PEO, and contractor populations across various jurisdictions.
• Practical experience in calculating bonuses or variable compensation and establishing review and approval controls.
• Background in designing or administering equity and long-term incentive programs.
• Experience in auditing an HRIS (e.g., BambooHR), including data governance, workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of payroll compliance, equity tax considerations, audit requirements, and stock-based compensation accounting principles such as ASC 718.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance complex or manual processes in a scaling, distributed organization.
• Familiarity with equity platforms such as Carta, Shareworks, or Pulley (preferred but not required).
