This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee and manage the complete payroll process for employees in India and the UAE, which includes payroll data inputs, processing, monthly payments, and final bank funding.
• Verify attendance records, leave balances, variable compensation, incentives, reimbursements, and inputs for full-and-final settlements.
• Examine payroll registers, variance reports, cost-to-company (CTC) details, and reconciliation documents to ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial controls.
• Supervise and conduct audits of external payroll service providers.
• Detect inefficiencies and apply technology to streamline payroll automation.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Indian labor laws, Provident Fund, ESIC, Income Tax regulations, and Payroll SOX compliance.
• Lead the preparation of statutory filings and payroll-related submissions.
• Assist with internal, statutory, and external audits; generate management information systems (MIS) reports, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Monitor updates in Indian and UAE labor laws, taxation, and social security requirements.
• Address payroll, tax, and benefits inquiries while issuing payslips, Form 16/tax documents, and salary certificates.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and Total Rewards teams on compensation, benefits, equity management, and payroll setup for new markets/entities.
• Manage Darwinbox, including its configuration, user access, integrations, troubleshooting, and workflow automation.
• A minimum of 8 years of direct payroll experience, demonstrating ownership of complete India payroll processing and adherence to statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with payroll practices in both the UAE and India.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience with payroll/HRIS systems such as GreytHR, Keka, ADP, or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Exceptional Excel/data-reconciliation abilities and comfort with managing extensive employee datasets.
• Keen attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership, and the capacity to manage sensitive payroll information with confidentiality.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines across different time zones (India and UAE).
