This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Take full responsibility for global payroll execution for both employees and contractors, ensuring that payments, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments are accurate, timely, compliant, and reconciled.
• Calculate and verify variable compensation and bonuses for both executives and non-GTM personnel, coordinating inputs, payroll execution, controls, and reconciliation with the GTM variable-pay partner.
• Develop and manage a global payroll calendar that includes cutoffs, review cycles, approvals, funding timelines, and reimbursement service levels.
• Create and oversee equity and long-term incentive programs, which encompass grants, vesting, exercises, and terminations, while ensuring accurate record-keeping and cap-table integrity in collaboration with Finance and Legal.
• Supervise global benefits administration across various markets, addressing both statutory and supplemental programs.
• Analyze benefits utilization, market competitiveness, employee feedback, and expenditures; suggest data-driven improvements.
• Maintain the integrity of payroll and equity data across BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, and Carta, including workflows, integrations, permissions, and reporting.
• Oversee global employment operations, which include managing EOR/PEO relationships, provider governance, contracts, funding, service levels, reconciliations, escalations, and performance evaluations.
• Identify recurring issues and manual processes, implementing sustainable solutions.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in global payroll, total rewards, benefits, HRIS, or people operations, with significant responsibility for multi-country payroll.
• Proven experience managing direct-entity, EOR/PEO, and contractor populations across various jurisdictions.
• Practical experience in calculating bonuses or variable compensation and establishing review and approval controls.
• Experience in designing or managing equity and long-term incentive programs.
• Background in auditing an HRIS (e.g., BambooHR), focusing on data governance, workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, equity tax implications, audit requirements, and stock-based compensation accounting concepts such as ASC 718.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance complex or manual processes within a scaling, distributed organization.
• Familiarity with equity platforms like Carta, Shareworks, or Pulley.
