Senior Payroll Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical expert for payroll and timekeeping systems.

• Oversee the design, configuration, maintenance, and testing of payroll systems.

• Provide support for earnings, deductions, pay components, interfaces, and functionality of compensation programs.

• Manage upgrades, implementations, integrations, and the introduction of new features for payroll and timekeeping systems.

• Conduct requirements analysis, testing, validation, documentation, issue resolution, and deployment assistance.

• Design, develop, and sustain complex reports related to payroll and workforce data.

• Offer operational support and ensure business continuity for biweekly payroll processes.

• Address payroll issues, validate calculations, audit payroll outcomes, and assist with tax, quarterly, year-end, W-2, and regulatory reporting.

• Oversee system performance and integrity through auditing, reconciliation, validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

• Enhance internal controls, efficiency, automation, workflows, procedures, and processes.

• Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and operational leaders on payroll-related initiatives.

• Analyze payroll, workforce, and timekeeping data, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

• Create and deliver training, job aids, and educational materials.

• Assist the Payroll & Timekeeping Manager in planning, strategic initiatives, projects, and maintaining operational continuity.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field is required; a combination of education and experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of five (5) years of progressive payroll experience with proven involvement in analytical and technical functions.

• Experience in payroll processing support, reporting, system configuration support, and compliance activities.

• Background in working with payroll and timekeeping systems in an analytical or systems-support role.

• Strong critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and capability to operate with minimal supervision.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

• Proficiency in interpreting data and identifying trends or discrepancies.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in computer applications and MS Office.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis tools, and reporting capabilities.

• Capability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
