This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in managing biweekly hourly and semi-monthly salaried payroll cycles for over 10,000 employees
• Verify payroll inputs, address discrepancies, and adhere to payroll deadlines
• Support payroll testing, implementations, system modifications, and process enhancements
• Oversee payroll preparedness, audit data, and resolve issues affecting payroll in Workday
• Ensure the successful processing of Payroll and Leave of Absence integrations within the HRIS
• Investigate and rectify inbound, outbound, and external integration errors and warnings
• Track timekeeping deadlines and escalate trends of non-compliance
• Provide primary payroll support through ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing system
• Examine income tax wages and liabilities, reconciling payroll results with financial records
• Investigate discrepancies related to work-state, resident-state, and local taxes
• Manage ADP SmartCompliance and assist with payroll tax filings and payments
• Reconcile federal, state, and local payroll tax liabilities between Workday and ADP SmartCompliance
• Investigate rejected filings and system integration issues involving HRIS, Payroll, and ADP support
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and payroll regulations
• Maintain precise payroll files and documentation
• Validate and audit garnishment orders
• Develop and enhance payroll Standard Operating Procedures on an ongoing basis
• At least 7 years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, or a similar role
• Proficient experience with Workday
• Experience with ADP SmartCompliance in support of payroll operations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Capability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including skills in sorting/filtering, pivot tables, formulas, and reconciliations
• Familiarity with relevant federal and state payroll laws and regulations
• Experience in payroll processing, auditing/reconciliation, and troubleshooting exceptions
• Annual bonus plan with a target of 5.00%
