This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise daily payroll operations across multiple states.
• Manage the complete payroll processing cycle on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of W-2 forms and handle year-end tax reporting.
• Administer payroll systems, including Workday, ADP, and One Source Virtual (OSV).
• Conduct audits of payroll cycles and verify uploads to the general ledger.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies, audit issues, and budget variances.
• Review payroll reports and address inquiries from third-party payroll entities.
• Assist with audits related to workers’ compensation.
• Collaborate effectively with Human Resources, Finance, and cross-functional teams.
• Supervise, recruit, train, mentor, and develop payroll personnel.
• Provide training, direction, and performance evaluations.
• Manage deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and handle sensitive confidential information.
• Support operational initiatives and align with organizational goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of six (6) years of multi-state payroll experience in a high-volume setting is required.
• At least four (4) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience with Workday is mandatory.
• Familiarity with One Source Virtual (OSV) is preferred.
• Possession of a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing and accounting principles in a high-volume environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll regulations, tax obligations, and labor laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, and OSV.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaborate efficiently in a team setting.
• A solid understanding of accounting and payroll processing with respect to the general ledger.
• Basic knowledge of payroll mandates and labor law regulations is preferred.
