Senior Paid Search Strategist, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the Google strategy and its daily implementation across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and YouTube.

• Oversee a monthly Google expenditure of $100K+ while meeting ROAS, CPA, and MER objectives.

• Manage the Merchant Center and ensure feed health from start to finish.

• Troubleshoot disapprovals, identify feed gaps, and resolve Shopify synchronization issues.

• Organize Performance Max asset groups, exclusions, signal inputs, and performance assessments.

• Formulate and defend strategies regarding branded spending and incrementality with clients.

• Provide support for Meta, TikTok, and other channels that impact assigned accounts.

• Offer insights on cross-channel budget allocation.

• Lead the paid search segment during client calls and communicate performance effectively.

• Present recommendations and challenge requests that do not benefit the client.

• Mentor junior buyers.

• Act as the quality assurance gate for paid search prior to launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on Google Ads experience within an agency or a rapidly growing brand environment.

• Extensive knowledge in Search, Shopping, and Performance Max.

• Expertise in troubleshooting Merchant Center and feed issues.

• Proven experience managing $100K+ monthly Google budgets with documented efficiency improvements.

• Experience in direct-to-consumer or e-commerce ownership roles.

• Experience with premium or luxury average order value is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Meta platforms.

• Proficiency in GA4, Looker Studio, and attribution concepts.

• Fluent and confident in English.

• Excellent communication skills with clients.

• Ability to manage multiple accounts in a dynamic remote work environment.
