Senior Ops Support Manager – Divisional Underwriting for Distributed Retail Fulfillment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee Retail Mortgage Underwriting teams by effectively delegating tasks and responsibilities.

• Collaborate with functional leaders to design and execute Underwriting Strategy.

• Perform evaluations of team performance, make compensation decisions, handle hiring processes, manage disciplinary actions, and oversee terminations.

• Ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained.

• Track team performance in terms of quality and efficiency.

• Address training and development needs for the team.

• Develop budgets, establish policies, and create short-term resource plans.

• Navigate complex issues that significantly affect the department.

• Coordinate efforts and contribute towards achieving broader functional objectives.

• Provide evaluative insights based on thorough analysis of intricate information.

• Ensure that essential procedures are adhered to and assist in defining operational standards.

• Evaluate risk, promote regulatory compliance, and manage control challenges.

• Supervise team members while fostering accountability for established standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in Leadership roles within Retail Mortgage Underwriting.

• In-depth knowledge of Retail Mortgage processes, Credit Policy, and Underwriting practices.

• Familiarity with Regulatory Guidelines and Quality Expectations.

• Ability to perform under pressure and effectively manage deadlines or unexpected changes.

• Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both clear and concise.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.
