This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Create operational performance metrics in collaboration with teams across NWF.
• Assist teams in visualizing data to pinpoint resource risks and opportunities.
• Analyze data and offer insights to inform strategic operational decisions.
• Report on program operational health and performance to leadership.
• Work with teams to map processes and identify bottlenecks.
• Recognize process enhancements and support program operations teams in executing them.
• Educate program operations leaders on new processes and systems.
• Develop resources to establish best practices within the organization.
• Lead teams to address complex and/or urgent operational challenges.
• Provide surge support for budget and grant management tasks.
• Draft guidance documents, map processes, analyze data, and strategize to assist leadership decisions.
• Guide cross-functional teams with minimal oversight and present recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with Finance, Philanthropy, Legal, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, and program leaders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business administration or finance.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience in financial management, operations, or administration, ideally in a nonprofit environment.
• Experience in federal grant management is advantageous.
• At least 2 years of experience managing others, either directly or indirectly.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, processes, and software programs.
• Strong project management skills while working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Capacity to analyze datasets, synthesize information, and present findings to leadership.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a general audience.
• Experience in gathering and synthesizing information from teams while minimizing their workload.
• Positive, solution-focused attitude as a change agent.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Advanced skills in writing formulas and manipulating data in Excel.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Airtable, or other project management tools is a plus.

• U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a background check if selected.
• Approximately 2–3 trips per year, with each trip lasting 2–4 nights.
