Senior Operational and Financial Risk Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Provide independent oversight as a second line of defense for risks and controls at the entity level across the Bank.

• Oversee primary risks associated with the Bank’s direct operations and the Parent services delivered through a Master Services Agreement.

• Conduct reviews of originated credits exceeding $150k to assess underwriting judgment and adherence to policies.

• Present credit trends and actionable insights to the Entity Risk Management Committee and the Chief Credit Officer.

• Develop and sustain a centralized library of risk metrics.

• Establish data automation pipelines utilizing GRC platforms, SQL, or reporting tools.

• Track first-line operational and policy risk metrics, escalating control breaches to the Entity Risk Management Committee.

• Perform ad hoc evaluations and testing of second-line risks for emerging threats.

• Evaluate technology and operational services provided by the parent company against the Bank's risk appetite standards and SLA terms.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in banking enterprise risk, operational risk, or internal audit.

• 3 to 4 years specializing in second-line-of-defense testing, control validation, and metrics oversight.

• Practical experience with GRC systems, including Logicgate and Jira.

• Proficiency in data automation tools such as SQL and Tableau.

• Comprehensive understanding of entity-level risk taxonomies.

• Familiarity with operational and technology control frameworks, including COSO, SOC, and NIST.

• Experience with intercompany MSA/SLA oversight in a regulated banking environment.

• CERP or CRMP certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar applications.
