Senior Node.js Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Design and manage backend infrastructure

• Engage in projects utilizing Node.js along with frameworks like Nest.js

• Enhance system efficiency and scalability

• Ensure smooth integration with various technologies

• Oversee backend infrastructure and maintain feature/data integrity

• Detect and resolve security vulnerabilities and threats

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience delivering production code via continuous deployments in Node.js

• Knowledge of the Nest.js framework; experience with similar frameworks is acceptable if lacking prior Nest.js exposure

• A minimum of 4 years of production experience with message queues (AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or other AMQP-based technologies)

• Expertise in Docker or comparable container platforms

• Experience with RESTful or RPC-based APIs

• Capability to develop behavior-driven test suites using Jest / Mocha-Sinon-Chai

• Proficient in English

• Basic understanding of the challenges faced in developing large-scale Node.js applications, acquired through production experience

• Extensive monitoring experience of systems affecting backend infrastructure and feature/data integrity

• Dedication to security best practices and the ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities or threats

• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS

• Preferred: Proven leadership abilities and a desire to tackle complex problems, including those in legacy codebases
