This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Drive revenue growth by strategically selling advanced scientific instruments and solutions.
• Build and maintain essential customer relationships within research institutions, pharmaceutical firms, and industrial sectors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to uncover sales opportunities.
• Design tailored solutions for customers.
• Ensure outstanding customer experiences.
• Assist customers in making groundbreaking discoveries and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Meet or exceed established sales targets.
• Formulate and implement strategic sales plans.
• Oversee intricate sales cycles and substantial capital equipment transactions.
• Manage both direct customers and channel partners.
• Be prepared to travel up to 50% within the designated territory.
• Operate independently while also collaborating within a matrix organization.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of demonstrated sales success in scientific instruments or analytical equipment is required.
• Preferred academic backgrounds include Science, Oncology, Chemistry, Biology, or Instrumentation.
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Proven history of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
• Strong technical knowledge of NGS instrumentation and its applications.
• Exceptional skills in relationship-building and account management with direct customers and channel partners.
• Proficient in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Capability to formulate and implement strategic sales plans.
• Experience in managing complicated sales cycles and large capital equipment deals.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
• Business-level proficiency in English is required; local language skills as necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and capacity to travel independently.
• Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes.
• Knowledge of competitor products and market trends.
• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating in a matrix organization.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.
