Senior Network Engineer – WAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations, planned enhancements, introduction of new technologies, and strategic capability advancement of IOEE and IOSEE systems and equipment.

• Create specifications for straightforward to moderately complex issues.

• Assess and minimize risks to ensure network STIG compliance.

• Set up and deploy devices in accordance with DLA IOEE and IOSEE standards.

• Manage DLA IPv4 and IPv6 address allocations.

• Execute hardware and software technology refreshes and upgrades.

• Conduct site assessments to identify space and base infrastructure needs.

• Carry out installation and design planning tasks.

• Facilitate last-half-mile circuit connections to IOEE points of presence.

• Order and monitor circuits utilizing the DISA Storefront.

• Offer support for classified networks, which includes Type-1 encryptors, GEM-X, and re-keying procedures.

• Collaborate with Services and coalition networks.

• Provide Tier III troubleshooting and 24x7x365 on-call assistance.

• Create network monitoring solutions for real-time IOEE/IOSEE situational awareness.

• Engage in network engineering planning and analysis.

• Conduct testing and implementation planning and analysis.

• Supply technical support engineering for interoperability, service definitions, network service design and installation, equipment testing and validation, video teleconferencing, imaging, training, and staging.

• Monitor DLA DISN sub-network assets throughout their lifecycle.

• Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives.

• Deploy to any DLA site for installation or troubleshooting activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Information Technology (IT).

• Experience must include at least two projects in the relevant technical fields.

• At least one project should have been completed within the last three (3) years.

• Must hold a High Risk, Critical Sensitive, Tier 5/SSBI investigation at the time of proposal.

• Top Secret clearance is required.

• DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III (CISSP, CISM or Equivalent).

• Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP-E).

• Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE).

• Willingness to travel approximately three times per year.

• Preferred: AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.

• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification.

• Preferred: CompTIA Cloud+ certification.
