Senior Molecular Genetics Analysis Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality control reviews of clinical samples and NGS data.

• Analyze clinical genomics information, including variant identification in accordance with HGVS standards.

• Execute variant verification using IGV.

• Perform analyses of trinucleotide repeats.

• Manage confirmation testing orders.

• Monitor cases and track turnaround times.

• Evaluate genetic sequencing data to ascertain variant identity.

• Oversee the status of clinical cases.

• May be required to participate in occasional weekend shifts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Genetics or a related field is mandatory.

• At least 7 years of relevant experience is required.

• Knowledge of HGVS variant nomenclature standards is essential.

• Proficiency in clinical medicine, genetics, genomics, or molecular biology is necessary.

• Experience in assessing data quality is important.

• Strong ability to convey genetic information clearly.

• Excellent skills in reading and writing medical terminology.

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

• Capability to frequently sit and utilize a screen, keyboard, and mouse.

• Dependability in attending virtual meetings punctually.

• Occasional weekend rotation may be required, such as once a month.
