Senior Mobility and Immigration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction for Compassion's global mobility and immigration initiatives.

• Develop, execute, and continually enhance policies and programs for international assignments, relocations, immigration, remote work overseas, and workforce mobility solutions.

• Offer guidance to leaders, People & Culture partners, and employees on intricate mobility and immigration issues.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and evolving workforce practices to propose innovative solutions.

• Spearhead complex global projects and establish and uphold governance frameworks and policies.

• Manage essential vendor relationships, including those with immigration service providers and regional Employers of Record.

• Approve and negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with service level agreements, and analyze research findings.

• Evaluate and oversee mobility and immigration cases and processes.

• Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with leadership while providing subject matter expertise.

• Assist managers and mobility groups in navigating People and Culture programs and practices, including merit, rewards and recognition, performance evaluations, onboarding, engagement, and termination.

• Support staff and coach leadership through global hires, secondments or EOR arrangements, relocations, assignments, temporary remote work abroad, and immigration services.

• Interpret and refresh policies and regulations to ensure compliance with local laws.

• Collect and analyze mobility data and metrics to back recommendations and program enhancements.

• Audit and assess current and pending cases, provide updates, and analyze trends and emerging patterns.

• Identify and communicate risks while fostering collaboration with People and Culture, legal, and security teams on solutions and improvements.

• Develop or update programs and policies to guarantee compliance, clarity, consistency, and completeness across regions.

• Offer coaching and mentoring to staff and advise People and Culture, managers, and employees on mobility and immigration policies and procedures.

• Engage in other broad-based compensation initiatives as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related discipline.

• Ten years of progressive experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Compensation, or International Human Resources.

• Experience overseeing global mobility programs, including relocations, international assignments, immigration, remote work abroad, and Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements.

• Strong understanding of global mobility, immigration, employment, and compliance regulations in a multinational context.

• Demonstrated ability to influence, advise, and establish trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong analytical abilities, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience utilizing data to inform recommendations and decision-making.

• Comprehensive knowledge of compensation matters with experience evaluating compensation implications of international assignments, relocations, and other global mobility initiatives.

• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with experience supporting U.S.-based leadership teams.

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
