Senior Mobile Engineer – React Native, Expo, TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Continue enhancing easybill mobile by utilizing React Native, Expo, and TypeScript for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Convert invoice and document requirements into user-friendly mobile workflows and high-quality native interfaces.

• Advance the app architecture and establish sustainable structures for navigation, reusable components, forms, and data access.

• Integrate REST APIs and guarantee dependable data management, encompassing typed interfaces, validation, caching, loading states, and error handling.

• Expand the REST API based on PHP and Symfony when necessary.

• Create secure authentication and session management while meticulously handling sensitive customer and business information.

• Consider performance and platform-specific aspects across varying network conditions, app transitions, and diverse devices.

• Ensure accessibility and support for multiple languages.

• Protect changes through automated testing and validation on both simulators and actual devices.

• Contribute to the build, release, and monitoring processes leading up to publication on app stores.

• Challenge requirements, propose your own solutions, and assist in features from ideation to release and ongoing enhancement.

• Leverage AI tools like Claude Code extensively while taking responsibility for the quality, clarity, and accuracy of the outputs.

• Status as a freelancer.

• Significant senior-level expertise in TypeScript, React Native, and Expo.

• Experience in taking mobile applications from implementation to successful release.

• Knowledge of React, component architecture, state management, and asynchronous data flows.

• Familiarity with the specifics of iOS and Android platforms.

• A systematic approach to tackling performance issues, platform-related bugs, and debugging tasks.

• Strong proficiency in integrating REST APIs, alongside an understanding of API contracts, authentication, validation, and error handling.

• Competence in automated testing, sound technical decision-making, and producing maintainable code.

• Independent and pragmatic work ethic with clear communication skills.

• Fluency in German and good command of English.

• Knowledge of PHP and Symfony is an advantage.
