Senior Medical Science Liaison – Mountain West

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and sustain impactful territory strategies, including plans for engaging HCPs and investigators.

• Assist in clinical development and research efforts, which encompass site evaluation and identification, recruitment, investigator meetings, external expert identification, and investigator-sponsored trials.

• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with external Immuno-Oncology experts within the designated geography.

• Provide education to healthcare providers and researchers regarding the disease state, therapeutic landscape, and Summit Therapeutics products throughout the product lifecycle.

• Participate in and observe pertinent scientific meetings, offering insights to Summit.

• Keep abreast of market trends, issues, product knowledge, and emerging therapeutic areas through self-education.

• Engage in team meetings, organizational activities, and country-specific medical affairs events such as advisory boards, Masterclasses, and roundtables.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement account plans that support mutual scientific or business goals.

• Execute all other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral degree in health sciences from an accredited institution is required (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent); significant clinical and/or industry experience in oncology and cancer therapeutics may substitute for educational qualifications.

• At least 5+ years of experience in solid tumor cancer, preferably focusing on GI, bladder, or renal cell tumors.

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison is required.

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a relevant scientific field is preferred.

• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and communicate complex scientific concepts and data.

• Proven capacity to build credible relationships with key HCPs.

• Skill in independently identifying corporate needs and translating them into actionable plans.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously.

• Compliance with healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

• Proficient in the MS Office suite; familiarity with electronic document management systems and document review tools is desirable.
