This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Generate and cultivate recruiting leads via advertisements, cold calling, referrals, online sources, residency programs, and conventions.
• Initiate communication and follow up with potential Emergency Medicine physicians and Advanced Provider candidates.
• Create detailed recruiting strategies for specific job openings.
• Conduct initial phone screenings and provide position and Vituity information to qualified candidates.
• Assess candidates for both position and organizational compatibility.
• Organize phone and site interviews with candidates and Medical Directors.
• Follow up with applicants regarding their interviews.
• Discuss the hiring process with new hires during the contracting phase.
• Perform verbal reference checks and facilitate written reference checks.
• Maintain candidate records and utilize Taleo for reports, searches, and listings.
• Foster relationships with Medical Directors, Regional Directors, Vice Presidents, Lead Advanced Providers, and Regional Advanced Providers.
• Conduct 30/60/90-day follow-up calls with new hires to enhance retention.
• Keep practice profiles updated with site information, credential requirements, and compensation details.
• Maintain contact with new hires throughout and beyond their effective start date.
• Consult with sites on recruitment and interviewing strategies.
• Recruit for additional practice lines upon request, including Hospital Medicine, Outpatient Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, Anesthesiology, and Tele-Medicine.
• Successfully recruit for one or more challenging-to-fill sites.
• Provide end-to-end recruiting for the Emergency Medicine business line.
• Participate in meetings related to Physician and Advanced Provider issues.
• Establish connections with residency programs and attend residency dinners as necessary.
• Prepare for and attend conferences.
• Develop recruiting initiatives that align with the Balanced Score Card.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Practice Management, Partnership Affairs, HR, and other departments on market intelligence and best recruiting practices.
• Provide salary and market assessments for potential contracts and RFPs through professional networks and outreach.
• Support outreach to medical training programs in Hospitalist-related, Anesthesia, Psychiatry, and Neurology fields as requested.
• Prepare and process PA/NP offer letters and hiring documents.
• Communicate updates to credentialing and provider enrollment.
• Review and track application statuses while regularly contacting applicants.
• Stay informed about practice sites and Vituity policies and procedures.
• 3-5 years of recent recruiting experience is required.
• 1-2 years of experience working for a practice management company or physician recruiting firm is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite for Windows, internet, and other sourcing techniques, along with expertise in database management is preferred.
• Experience with Taleo is preferred.
• DEI recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a recruitment agency setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in a medical environment is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment is preferred.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced, professional, service-oriented setting is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and in-person communication skills, including team building and negotiation abilities, are preferred.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills are preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform well under pressure are preferred.
• Ability to handle conflict constructively and exercise sound judgment is preferred.
