This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership and advance the enterprise talent acquisition strategy alongside the Chief People Officer and the executive leadership team.
• Establish uniform hiring standards, structured assessment methods, and quality-of-hire benchmarks throughout the organization.
• Develop hiring plans that align with the company's most essential capabilities and growth objectives.
• Proactively identify hiring and capability gaps and implement actions to address them.
• Manage the quality of hires from start to finish, collaborating with business leaders on key and executive searches.
• Create robust talent pipelines for high-priority positions and ensure hiring managers make prompt, informed decisions.
• Leverage data, technology, AI, and automation to enhance recruiting efficiency, pipeline transparency, and decision-making quality.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the recruiting team, establishing clear priorities, capacity plans, performance expectations, and work standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and the executive leadership team regarding talent and organizational choices.
• Convert talent data into actionable business insights, identifying risks and providing recommendations.
• Provide real-time market intelligence and compensation benchmarks to guide hiring decisions, workforce planning, and offer strategies.
• Report directly to the Chief People Officer and collaborate with executive and business leaders.
• 10-12+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition or recruiting, including leadership experience within a talent acquisition team.
• Experience in rapidly growing technology, SaaS, fintech, or similarly fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record of developing recruiting strategies, teams, processes, and programs that are scalable.
• Extensive hands-on experience in recruiting and candidate assessment, particularly in executive and critical role hiring.
• A strong analytical, data-driven approach to talent-related decisions, demonstrating sound judgment and a robust business orientation.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to shift between strategic planning and practical execution.
• Capability to thrive in an environment where growth, efficiency, and accountability are equally prioritized.
• Strong executive presence and established credibility with senior leadership.
• Experience in a private equity-backed, private-equity, or high-performance-oriented setting.
• Familiarity with using AI and emerging technologies to enhance candidate identification, assessment, selection, and engagement processes.
• Experience in recruiting within both Canadian and US markets, with an understanding of the differences in talent landscapes and recruitment strategies being an asset.
