Senior Medical Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking of digital and print materials for pharmaceutical advertising.

• Edit for clarity in language, consistency, accuracy of brand messaging, tone, cohesiveness, organization, adherence to client and AMA style, as well as grammar, spelling, typographical errors, and formatting.

• Utilize AI tools to support review processes.

• Engage in content review at all project stages, ensuring fact-checking with precise referencing.

• Work collaboratively with Editorial, Creative, and Project Management teams.

• Assist in project prioritization to enhance ease of project completion while upholding quality standards.

• Provide coverage for agency team tasks and support launch activities.

• Uphold quality standards and cater to the needs of the Editorial team.

• Take responsibility for projects assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education along with relevant professional experience is required.

• Over 5 years of editing experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of current AMA style guidelines.

• Experience in medical, regulatory, and legal reviews.

• Familiarity with FDA regulations concerning drug promotion.

• Comfort and proficiency with medical/pharma terminology and industry jargon.

• Highly detail-oriented, thorough, and precise.

• Proven ability to manage rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in high-pressure environments.

• Capability to take ownership and work independently.

• Digital proficiency with outstanding verbal, written, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
