This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Zonderkidz, DaySpring Kids, and Blink team on projects involving children's and young adult literature.
• Gain an understanding of the production processes utilized by Zonderkidz, DaySpring Kids, and Blink.
• Familiarize yourself with The Chicago Manual of Style and The Christian Writer’s Manual of Style.
• Learn about different types of children's books, including typesetting, layouts, and additional features.
• Engage in content editing, copyediting, content proofreading, and typesetting proofreading.
• Prepare title information forms for internal purposes.
• Assist in conducting research related to books.
• Contribute insights on potential manuscripts and projects.
• Participate in team meetings, editorial boards, title alignment meetings, and production meetings.
• Must be available for full-time work in 2027 or 2028.
• Candidates should be rising seniors, recent graduates, master's students, or entry-level applicants with up to one year of work experience.
• Availability to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• A resume and cover letter are required; the cover letter should be addressed to “Hiring Team”.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master's program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams is essential.
• Strong command of the English language and grammar is required.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities are necessary.
• Ability to work independently is expected.
• Copyediting and proofreading experience is preferred.
• A passion for books is highly valued.
