This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Seek out and secure new projects while developing and producing both new and existing initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall commercial creative execution of the BOOM! Studios catalog.
• Oversee scheduling, communication, administration, creative development, and production for assigned titles.
• Act as the primary point of contact and project manager for designated titles.
• Provide assistance within the Executive Editor’s office, which includes scheduling, talent relations, internal tracking, and routing.
• Negotiate contracts for newly acquired projects.
• Identify and contract new talent while retaining high-performing individuals.
• Collaborate on and develop go-to-market strategies.
• Conduct development meetings and pinpoint sales and marketing opportunities.
• Work alongside production design on branding, packaging, and overall design elements.
• Establish and enforce deadlines for talent across editorial production.
• Support sales, marketing, and metadata teams with necessary metadata and assets.
• Manage creator and licensor approvals on editorial production materials.
• Distribute weekly, monthly, and seasonal updates, reports, and presentations.
• Execute other related projects or duties as assigned or required.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in comic book and graphic novel editing is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong proofreading abilities.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and maintain strong follow-up skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, meet deadlines, take initiative, and creatively solve problems.
• Strong relationship-building skills with other departments and a collaborative spirit.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Capacity to observe market conditions and trends to guide creative decision-making.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes, anticipate needs, and remain solutions-oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Airtable is a bonus.
