Senior Medical Director, Pulmonary Hypertension, Global Medical Affairs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of the yearly V&I strategy alongside medical affairs colleagues from key regions, with a primary focus on the U.S.

• Act as a subject-matter expert and liaison across designated therapeutic areas.

• Convert global scientific platforms into practical Medical Value Narratives.

• Interact with country-level stakeholders, including medical advisors, payers, and scientific leaders.

• Assist in local data generation, congress planning, and advisory board activities.

• Function as a medical representative within Product Development sub-teams, which include Clinical, V&I, Commercial, Publications, and Label.

• Relay relevant information to executive, regional, U.S., payer, and access stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Outcomes Research, Policy, Commercial, and Market Access teams.

• Partner with U.S., China, and Japan markets to align global strategies with local execution.

• Aggregate actionable medical insights from various countries and regions.

• Engage with international scientific leaders and external stakeholders about emerging scientific developments.

• Oversee the external landscape alongside the competitive intelligence team.

• Coordinate global expert-input events, advisory boards, and forums for expert input.

• Work with Global Human Health executive directors to align and independently execute V&I initiatives.

• Organize global symposia and educational meetings.

• Assist in local data-generation study concepts and protocols.

• Evaluate Investigator-Initiated Study proposals and participate in TA-specific MISP review panels.

• Manage patient support, educational, or risk management programs.

• Advocate for innovation, medical modernization, team priorities, and patient impact.

• Oversee the assigned budget, ensuring delivery within a 3% variance.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. with recognized medical expertise (M.D. preferred).

• Background in country/region medical affairs or clinical development.

• Preferred experience in the Pulmonary Hypertension therapeutic area.

• Strong skills in prioritization and decision-making.

• Ability to work effectively with partners across divisions in a matrix environment.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and both written and verbal communication skills.

• Results-driven project management capabilities.

• At least three years of experience in regional medical affairs is preferred.

• Proven history of contributing to medical affairs strategies is preferred.

• Expertise in customer engagement, particularly with scientific leadership and other key stakeholders in the assigned therapeutic area is preferred.

• Required skills: Cardiology, Communication, Medical Affairs, Pharmaceutical Industry, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Strategic Planning.
