Senior Mechanical Engineer, LNG

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate deliverables related to LNG Tanks, including data sheets, specifications, and material requisitions.

• Oversee the design and assessment of LNG Tanks.

• Coordinate tasks with other technical team members.

• Review design documents from equipment manufacturers or subcontractors, providing insights and recommendations.

• Engage in the evaluation and verification of designs, drawings, and data generated by engineers, specialists, or suppliers.

• Implement engineering department protocols throughout projects.

• Adhere to design standards and guidelines relevant to LNG Storage Tanks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized mechanical engineering degree from a reputable university.

• Professional Engineer registration.

• 10 to 15 years of pertinent experience in LNG Storage Tank design.

• Experience with LNG project pressure equipment or working in an operational LNG facility is advantageous.

• Familiarity with industry and regulatory codes and standards such as CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625, etc.

• Successful completion of necessary pre-employment checks may be required, including Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol tests, Reference checks, and submission of Provincial Driver’s Abstract.

• Capacity to work remotely within Canada or from Bantrel offices located in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, or Toronto.
