This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in client design projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial sales concept to design development, construction drawings, and construction administration.
• Engage in complex projects and collaborate directly with clients and the Design Engineering team.
• Create specifications, designs, budgets, and timelines while managing client expectations.
• Envision system designs and ascertain system requirements.
• Offer expert advice on security systems and coordinate information for electronic security solutions.
• Supervise and/or create Bills of Materials and supporting documentation.
• Analyze 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC drawings during takeoff and team review sessions.
• Conduct review calls with both internal and external teams concerning BOMs and documentation.
• Utilize complex pricing tools and modify pricing in response to evolving requirements.
• Interpret IFP, RFP, and RFQ requirements and schedules while constructing labor calculations.
• Research and produce submissions related to security products.
• Acquire knowledge and proficiency in ESS-related programming matrices.
• Investigate, identify, and propose technology options for clients.
• Contribute to P&L performance and foster enduring client relationships.
• Maintain industry knowledge through trade publications, trade shows, seminars, and educational forums.
• Attend manufacturer training, participate in or lead lunch and learns, and pursue further online education.
• Represent ESS Engineering in organization-wide initiatives and strategic discussions focused on delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in system design.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and independent.
• Outstanding time management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Capability to analyze complex issues and convey clear, concise messages.
• Advanced problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree is necessary and/or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office 365.
• Preferred certifications or training with Milestone and Lenel.
• Preferred certifications or training with Genetec, Avigilon, and S2.
• Ability to obtain a government-issued Top Secret Clearance (US-based only).
• Clear understanding of project phases: Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction, and Commissioning.
• Comprehensive understanding of the construction process, installation and integration, along with architectural and construction drawings and specifications.
