This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer development assistance, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services for electric power initiatives.
• Execute technical assessments of electric power generation projects and facilities.
• Assist with project economic analysis, cost evaluations, risk assessments, and contract formulation.
• Perform engineering design assessments and technical due diligence.
• Aid in project development and conceptual design for traditional power projects.
• Leverage mechanical design expertise in conventional power projects.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Utilize data, automation, artificial intelligence, and other digital tools as applicable to enhance research, analysis, engineering, design, or workflow efficiency.
• Employ professional judgment and review when utilizing technology-assisted applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong academic credentials.
• At least 15 years of experience in the electric power sector.
• Experience in the detailed design of mechanical systems for conventional power projects, including simple cycle gas turbines, combined cycle projects, coal-fired generation, steam systems, or reciprocating engines (RICE).
• Background in development support and conceptual design of conventional power projects.
• Exceptional technical communication and writing abilities.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Experience with technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with power station operations and performance evaluations is valued but not required.
• Understanding of process design at electric power generation facilities is appreciated but not essential.
• Experience in economic analysis, cost evaluations, and contract development is appreciated but not essential.
• Knowledge of international design codes and standards is preferred.
• Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is valued but not required.
