This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee the structural design, development, integration, and verification of essential solid rocket motor components.
β’ Conduct structural modeling, analysis, and documentation for motor cases, nozzles, insulation systems, joints, load-bearing interfaces, and other primary structures.
β’ Utilize advanced engineering methodologies to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test mechanically operating equipment.
β’ Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
β’ Collaborate with engineers and other staff to implement operating procedures, troubleshoot system malfunctions, and provide technical insights.
β’ Research and evaluate customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to assess design feasibility, costs, and maintenance needs.
β’ Specify system components or direct product modifications to ensure alignment with engineering design and performance specifications.
β’ Investigate equipment failures and challenges, diagnose operational issues, and recommend actions to maintenance teams.
β’ Provide leadership to others and potentially lead functional teams or projects.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 25%.
β’ Associate's Degree with 8β10 years of relevant experience.
β’ A degree in Engineering is mandatory.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
β’ Strong oral and written communication abilities.
β’ Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
β’ Strong problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Analytical thinking proficiency.
β’ Knowledge in applied mechanics.
β’ Expertise in design engineering.

β’ Ability to remain stationary at a desk and/or computer for prolonged periods.

β’ Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying climates, and operate machinery.
β’ Openness to working different shifts if required.
β’ Likely to travel up to 25%.
