This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of paid media and performance marketing initiatives across search, display, social media, DRTV, CTV, podcasts, and third-party list purchases.
• Manage a paid media budget of over $13 million, aiming to attract 40,000 new donors, 11,000 sustainers, and generate $4 million in revenue during the first year.
• Create detailed marketing strategies for extensive, segmented donor acquisition and retention efforts.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal fundraising teams.
• Work in partnership with Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Acquisition Marketing, Philanthropy, Data Analytics, Campaigns, and Finance teams.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting processes for paid advertising and third-party acquisition partners.
• Develop integrated attribution models to assess the impact of advertising expenditures.
• Establish a strategic vision for multi-year growth in supporters, retention, revenue, and brand positioning.
• Direct budget planning and management for paid digital, television, and audio initiatives.
• Identify integration opportunities and manage testing and optimization of the donation funnel.
• Enhance the global social media strategy across over 100 social media accounts.
• Spearhead global testing and investment initiatives for new media, partner collaborations, marketing technologies, and capabilities.
• Assess and track brand media campaign performance alongside the brand team and third-party partners.
• Lead audience segmentation and targeting strategies for both prospecting and retention efforts.
• Provide leadership, organizational development, and management for an expanding team.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, design, journalism, English, liberal arts, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
• An MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in digital marketing and media acquisition is essential.
• Experience in management within a related field, including overseeing staff and leadership, developing and executing strategies, and managing fiscal and budget responsibilities; ideally within the animal welfare sector.
• Proven ability to apply analytical thinking and utilize quantitative and qualitative data to identify, prioritize, and pursue opportunities.
• Familiarity with TV, Radio, Streaming, Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, and Google Analytics is desirable.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are required.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively and concurrently.
• Capability to articulate a strategic vision for a team of channel leaders with clearly defined strategies, KPIs, and objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of broadcast media, the Internet, online trends, Internet fundraising and/or social change, social media, and paid advertising strategies.
• Advanced understanding of advertising creative development and direct-response media performance indicators.
• Proficient in compiling, analyzing, and utilizing performance data to uncover opportunities and enhance campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities.
• Robust decision-making, organizational, planning, and complex problem-solving skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, responsibilities, and projects.
• Strong knowledge of business operations, budget development, and management procedures.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and timely deliverables.
• A strong interest in animal protection issues is preferred.
