This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Provide legal support for commercial contracting matters in the U.S. and Canada MedSurg sectors.
• Draft, negotiate, and offer advice on agreements with customers, distributors, GPOs, IDNs, health systems, DME, service providers, and government/public-sector entities.
• Collaborate with commercial contracting, sales, finance, pricing, compliance, and business teams to manage contract governance and approvals.
• Enhance and maintain playbooks for contracting, escalation criteria, negotiation strategies, and practical resources.
• Provide advice regarding pricing, rebates, discounts, customer incentive programs, and commercial risks.
• Act as the Legal representative on pricing committees.
• Offer counsel on issues related to healthcare fraud and abuse, antitrust laws, governance, and associated compliance matters.
• Assist the U.S. DME business with contracting matters related to customers, patients, payors, suppliers, accreditation, services, billing, and operations.
• Advise on government and public-sector contracting, including FSS, VA, and federal, state, and local government requirements.
• Support contract administration, certifications, reporting duties, and related compliance activities.
• Deliver practical guidance to MedSurg commercial leadership on complex transactions, negotiations, strategic initiatives, governance, training, risk management, and process enhancements.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, completed and verified prior to employment commencement.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of legal experience.
• An active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial and government agreements.
• Familiarity with GPOs, IDNs, health systems, and distributors.
• Experience in supporting healthcare, medical device, life sciences, DME, or other regulated product sectors.
• Knowledge of healthcare fraud and abuse, government program compliance, or public-sector contracting matters.
• Prior in-house legal experience within a large, complex, global organization is preferred.
• Experience with medical device technologies, DME operations, healthcare services, or patient-facing service models is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Sunshine Act, HIPAA/privacy, FDA regulations, healthcare reimbursement, accreditation, or related compliance matters is advantageous.
• Experience with pricing committees, contract governance, high-value commercial transactions, FSS/VA contracting, government contract administration, or SAM.gov processes is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without the need for sponsorship for an employment visa.
