This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation, upkeep, critical assessment, and analysis of models, studies, and systems utilizing actuarial principles.

• Assist in pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and various other actuarial functions.

• Create complex models and instruct others on model development.

• Prepare written and oral presentations that effectively convey information for informed decision-making.

• Manage intricate day-to-day projects that involve non-actuarial departments and external stakeholders.

• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of multiple actuarial domains and at least one business segment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics; other Bachelor's (or higher) degrees may be taken into account.

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).

• Membership with the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

• Adherence to the membership criteria for each professional designation.

• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the health insurance sector or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to create effective documentation, facilitate training and development, and engage in presentations.

• Proficient in PC applications, including Word and Excel.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming skills.

• Experience with Medicare Part D is a plus.

• Experience with Medicaid is also welcomed.
