This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in special projects, initiatives, and tasks specific to assignments.
• Execute daily actuarial functions, which include reserving, forecasting, benefit pricing, and rate analysis.
• Undertake a summer-long actuarial project.
• Carry out studies on trends and seasonality, automate models, improve processes, conduct retrospective reserve reviews, or engage in pharmacy modeling.
• Deliver the completed project presentation to senior leadership at the conclusion of the summer.
• Engage in specialized training for Excel, SQL, VBA, PowerPoint, and other technical skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI-driven actuarial solutions.
• Enhance financial performance, reinforce risk management, and elevate outcomes for members and providers.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Must be a current college/university student in an accredited degree program or have graduated within the last 6 months.
• At least one actuarial exam or UEC credit is necessary.
• Preference for rising juniors or seniors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent listening and critical thinking abilities.
• Reliable and adaptable.
