β€’ Collaborate with a team of industry experts on regulatory consulting and various insurance industry projects

β€’ Act as a health actuarial consultant during client engagements

β€’ Potentially participate in financial examinations, rate filing assessments, special studies, and research initiatives

β€’ Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines

β€’ Analyze intricate information and spot inconsistencies

β€’ Produce precise, high-quality analyses, reports, and deliverables for clients

β€’ Articulate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

β€’ Cultivate expertise in actuarial, regulatory, and industry-related subjects


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Statistics

β€’ At least 5+ years of professional experience within a state insurance department, health insurance company, financial services, or consulting firm

β€’ Previous consulting and/or regulatory experience is advantageous

β€’ MBA and/or relevant professional certifications are preferred

β€’ ASA, FSA, MAAA designations are highly preferred

β€’ Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is preferred; ACA pricing experience is strongly preferred

β€’ Experience with Medicare Supplement products is preferred

β€’ Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex information, identify inconsistencies, and create accurate, high-quality work products

β€’ Understanding of actuarial concepts including health rating, underwriting, financial modeling and analysis, risk management, pricing, and reinsurance

β€’ Proficient in PC skills, including software for presentations, spreadsheets, and project management

β€’ Capability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly, concisely, and accurately to technical and non-technical audiences

β€’ Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and assignments

β€’ Exceptional written communication skills, which include preparing detailed, organized, and well-supported analyses, reports, and client deliverables

β€’ Self-driven with a sense of urgency, natural curiosity, and a desire for continual learning

β€’ Ability to uphold ethical and professional standards as defined by the Firm
