Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct actuarial calculations and analyses that support product development, financial management, reserving, experience studies, risk management, and various business initiatives.

• Examine data, assumptions, and outcomes, investigating and addressing issues as necessary.

• Assist with actuarial research, audits, financial reporting, and requests from regulatory bodies or rating agencies.

• Generate documentation, reports, and presentations for management as well as internal and external stakeholders.

• Recognize, propose, and execute process enhancements, incorporating emerging technologies and AI-driven tools.

• Collaborate with Accounting and Operations on cross-functional projects.

• Comply with company policies, actuarial standards, and the internal controls framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree with a major or concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

• 0-3 years of relevant experience is required.

• Completion of one exam toward the eventual achievement of ASA is required.

• A commitment to pursuing the FSA designation is required.

• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities are required.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks or projects.

• Proactive with the ability to follow through to meet deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to learn new skills and propose improvements to processes or procedures.
