📋 Description

• Guide and support a high-achieving Application Security engineering team.

• Align team objectives with organizational goals and operational challenges.

• Propel Application and Pipeline Security strategy towards an autonomous, AI-driven DevSecOps model.

• Innovate agentic security workflows for automated remediation.

• Set architectural guardrails and validation standards for secure AI-assisted development.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to establish cloud security baselines and Policy-as-Code guardrails.

• Supervise application penetration testing, triage findings, integrate them into pipeline guardrails, and guarantee SLA-based remediation.

• Set observability and regulatory standards throughout the development lifecycle.

• Execute supply chain protections, including SBOM, automated CI/CD security gates, and risk-approval protocols.

• Prioritize and address security vulnerabilities across application environments and cloud infrastructures.

• Enhance SAST, DAST, SCA, and IaC scanning telemetry to reduce false positives.

• Design automated AWS response triggers for swift isolation and runtime threat containment.

• Integrate security into IDEs and CI/CD pipelines.

• Architect and report on performance indicators such as MTTR and Auto-Fix Acceptance Rates.

• Establish policies and ensure compliance among development teams.

• Adjust departmental plans and priorities to resolve resource and operational challenges.

• Offer subject matter expertise to employees, colleagues, and customers.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in specialized roles within Application Security or Cloud Engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role.

• Expertise in designing AWS security governance and implementing automated incident mitigation in large-scale cloud environments.

• Mastery of CI/CD orchestration, containerization safeguards, and SAST/DAST/SCA integration.

• Advanced automation skills with the capability to architect security tools.

• Knowledge of AI-enhanced security technologies, including LLM-driven remediation tools and automated code-fixing platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity, or an equivalent professional background.

• Significant professional experience as a Staff or Principal Software Engineer, or DevOps Specialist, prior to transitioning into security management.

• Proven history of collaboration with software engineering and platform teams.

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certifications.

• 5-8 years of supervisory experience.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
