Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Management Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the subject-matter expert for revenue cycle operations in designated transformation workstreams.

• Assess current-state findings and rigorously evaluate recommendations regarding coding, charge capture, billing, cash posting, denials management, and accounts receivable follow-up.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to benchmark cost-to-collect and net revenue yield.

• Co-develop future-state operating models, process workflows, and organizational structures.

• Lead revenue cycle management (RCM) transformation workstreams from current-state diagnostics through to future-state design, pilot testing, and implementation.

• Oversee the daily activities of consulting resources and cross-functional contributors without formal supervisory authority.

• Create and sustain financial and quantitative models.

• Monitor benefit realization in relation to cost-to-collect reduction and net revenue uplift objectives.

• Track operational metrics, identify discrepancies, and propose corrective measures.

• Assess outsourcing, managed services, technology, AI, and robotic process automation options.

• Provide RCM expertise during vendor selection and contracting discussions.

• Drive change management and stakeholder alignment across RCM operations, revenue cycle leadership, and Finance.

• Prepare and deliver progress updates, risk assessments, and analytical summaries to leadership and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in revenue cycle operations, healthcare finance, or healthcare-focused strategy consulting.

• Practical experience in one or more back- or middle-office RCM functions, such as coding, billing, denials management, cash posting, or accounts receivable follow-up.

• Extensive knowledge of back- and middle-office revenue cycle functions.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external consulting teams.

• Proficiency in constructing and interpreting financial models.

• Familiarity with Epic revenue cycle modules and reporting tools adequate for independent data validation and findings assessment.

• Capability to operate autonomously and make sound judgments in fast-paced, ambiguous transformation settings.

• Ability to lead workstreams without formal authority.

• Skill in establishing credibility and influencing revenue cycle operations leaders and team members.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Competence in applying structured project management methodologies to complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
