This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the enterprise-wide Procurement strategy focusing on Spend Visibility, Stakeholder Engagement, Sourcing Strategies, Organizational Design, Performance Measurement, as well as Policy, Process, and Systems.
• Modify or enhance Advarra’s Procurement and Source-to-Pay functions.
• Oversee Sourcing and Buying activities within Advarra’s Source-to-Pay framework.
• Develop, execute, and manage cross-functional vendor onboarding processes.
• Establish and guide Strategic Sourcing across seven key spending categories.
• Primarily target sourcing for Technology and Business Services, followed by Travel, Marketing, and Operations categories.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to allocate business to the most qualified vendors.
• Monitor the value generated from Strategic Sourcing and report it consistently to Advarra leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the vendor onboarding process.
• Build and lead a dynamic Procurement team.
• Recruit, manage, train, mentor, and develop procurement professionals.
• Oversee procurement governance, policy, and the multi-year strategic roadmap.
• Lead a procurement steering committee tasked with prioritization and escalation to executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Procurement as a Category Manager, particularly in sourcing Technology and Business Services.
• Proven professional negotiation experience and training to effectively lead vendor negotiations with both new and renewing vendors.
• Proficiency with a mature Source-to-Pay Process supported by systems like ERPs, Spend Visibility Tools, and Contract Lifecycle Management tools.
• Certification as a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), or an equivalent designation.
• A readiness to challenge existing norms and vendor relationships.
• High emotional intelligence, tact, and composure while collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives.
• Skill in data analytics, master data management, and information presentation for organizing and tracking vendor expenditures and master data, as well as measuring and reporting procurement value.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, and Operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to sit or stand for long periods at a stationary workstation.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and lower objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Capacity to learn and understand basic instructions.
• Ability to maintain focus on tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficient in verbal communication, listening, understanding, responding, and speaking.
