This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead a comprehensive Procurement strategy across the enterprise, addressing Spend Visibility, Stakeholder Engagement, Sourcing Strategies, Organizational Design, Performance Measurement, and Policy, Process, and Systems.
• Enhance and refine Advarra’s Procurement and Source-to-Pay functionalities.
• Take ownership of Sourcing and Buying activities within the Source-to-Pay framework.
• Develop, implement, and manage cross-functional vendor onboarding workflows.
• Direct strategic sourcing initiatives across seven primary spending categories.
• Primarily source Technology and Business Services, with a secondary focus on Travel, Marketing, and Operations.
• Partner with stakeholders to allocate business to qualified vendors.
• Monitor and report regularly on the value achieved from strategic sourcing to Advarra leadership.
• Standardize the stakeholder experience during the vendor onboarding process.
• Build and lead a Procurement team, which includes recruiting, managing, training, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Supervise procurement governance, policy, and the multi-year strategic roadmap.
• Lead a procurement steering committee, ensuring prioritization and escalation with executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Procurement as a Category Manager.
• Proven experience in sourcing Technology and Business Services.
• Professional negotiation experience and training to effectively lead vendor negotiations with both new and renewing vendors.
• Familiarity with mature Source-to-Pay processes supported by systems such as ERPs, Spend Visibility Tools, and Contract Lifecycle Management tools.
• CPSM, CPP, or a similar certification preferred.
• Experience collaborating across functions such as Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, and Operations.
• Strong skills in data analytics, master data management, and information presentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to sit or stand for extended periods at a stationary workstation.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and lower objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Capacity to learn and understand basic instructions.
• Strong focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficient in verbal communication, active listening, understanding, responding, and speaking effectively.
