This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assemble and guide a team responsible for editing and producing paid social and native advertisements.
• Recruit, lead, and nurture Editors and post specialists, while also establishing a pool of freelancers for peak periods.
• Take ownership of the quality of every advertisement produced by the team, ensuring a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to enhance edits, guiding them to a polished, high-quality finish.
• Supervise the editing and delivery process from in-person shoots, remote UGC, and AI-generated video content.
• Manage and enhance the media pipeline, which includes footage ingestion, color correction, and organization.
• Occasionally edit the most critical advertisements personally to set a benchmark for the team and stay closely connected to the craft.
• Maintain a high volume of ad production and variations without compromising quality.
• Organize workload and priorities to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the Head of Creative Production and Creative Directors on recruitment and elevating the craft bar.
• Verify that all finished advertisements comply with legal and brand guidelines prior to launch.
• A robust portfolio showcasing short-form video editing for paid social, direct-response, or performance content; actual work samples are required.
• 2 to 3+ years of experience managing editors, including hiring, leading, and developing a team.
• Proficiency in evaluating cuts, recognizing what works and what doesn’t, formulating solutions, and articulating feedback effectively.
• Proven track record in recruiting and developing talented editors, with a distinct perspective on identifying editing talent.
• Exceptional editing skills, with strong instincts for narrative, pacing, and finishing in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar professional editing software.
• Solid understanding of post-production workflows and media systems, encompassing ingestion, color correction, and asset/DAM organization.
• Knowledge of effective paid social advertising strategies, including strong hooks, tight pacing, clean captions, and a native platform feel.
• Familiarity with AI editing tools and a well-formed opinion on their advantages and limitations.
• Capability to work efficiently at high volume and pace, delivering numerous ads and variations weekly without compromising quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with creative, production, and media-buying teams.
• Self-motivated individual comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Editing work that demonstrates clear performance outcomes is a significant advantage.
• Skills in motion graphics or light design, such as After Effects or similar software, are a considerable plus.
• Experience managing freelance or contract editors is a notable advantage.
• Experience in refining AI-generated footage to meet high, real-ad standards is a substantial plus.
• Familiarity with contemporary AI editing tools and asset-management (DAM) systems is a significant plus.
• Comfort in analyzing performance dashboards to inform editing decisions is a strong plus.
