This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Lead the creation and documentation of fundraising methodologies, tools, and practical guides for the Portfolio team and its partners.
• Manage the fundraising resource library and ensure its integration into the Wezesha Hub and other knowledge-sharing platforms.
• Set the agenda for enhancing fundraising methodologies and tools based on feedback from the Portfolio and its partners.
• Develop and deliver resources that empower Portfolio Managers to assess and assist partners with their fundraising needs.
• Organize and oversee fundraising clinics, office hours, and strategy sessions with the Portfolio team.
• Act as a liaison between the CAF team and the Portfolio.
• Provide direct fundraising assistance to partners on complex or high-priority opportunities.
• Identify and facilitate new funding opportunities by connecting partners with suitable donors.
• Design and lead coordinated fundraising workshops.
• Assist the Director in managing selected donor relationships and represent CAF in assigned donor discussions.
• Support the positioning and growth of the Vuma Fund.
• Contribute to discussions and materials related to fundraising strategies aimed at achieving the $65M goal.
• Collaborate with Finance and Admin, Strategic Initiatives, Communications, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning to align fundraising systems with organization-wide data and learning platforms.
• Gradually assume strategic representation and support for the Director as capabilities and tenure increase.
• High levels of autonomy and independent decision-making in designing methodologies, delivering training, engaging directly with partners, and managing specific donor relationships.
• Proficiency in developing fundraising methodologies, tools, practical guides, and training sessions.
• Ability to diagnose and address partner fundraising needs effectively.
• Skill in providing direct fundraising support for complex or high-stakes opportunities.
• Expertise in designing and facilitating clustered fundraising workshops.
• Capability to engage with donors and foster donor relationship development.
• Proficiency in coordinating fundraising systems with organization-wide data and learning platforms.
