This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement global medical initiatives aimed at advancing the Companion Animal Pain portfolio, driving category growth, differentiation, and creating customer value.
• Convert global medical strategies into executable programs, tools, and initiatives.
• Oversee medical plans for the Companion Animal Pain portfolio in the short, medium, and long term.
• Collaborate with regional and country medical teams to support global medical priorities across various markets.
• Track the implementation and impact of medical initiatives while identifying areas for enhancement.
• Assist in the execution of the global portfolio-specific Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategy.
• Manage KOL interactions and scientific exchange events.
• Organize and carry out advisory boards, expert consultations, and other scientific engagement activities.
• Recognize emerging scientific trends, market needs, and customer insights.
• Create and present scientific messaging and medical content for international congresses, scientific meetings, and industry events.
• Represent Zoetis at customer-facing scientific forums.
• Ensure external medical communications maintain consistency and scientific integrity across global markets.
• Collect, synthesize, and share customer insights along with emerging medical requirements.
• Bridge global and local teams, ensuring market insights inform medical planning and execution.
• Collaborate with the Pain Brand Team and Global Marketing to synchronize medical and commercial activities.
• Work alongside Center of Excellence functions and above-market teams to develop customer-centric tools, programs, and marketing resources.
• Provide medical expertise to integrated brand planning and execution efforts.
• Contribute a medical perspective to omnichannel and digital customer engagement strategies.
• Develop scientifically accurate medical content and technical communication materials.
• Direct medical training programs across global markets.
• Ensure all materials and activities adhere to scientific, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Advocate for best practices and consistent scientific messaging across different regions.
• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD or an equivalent veterinary degree) is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in veterinary medical roles with in-market customer-facing experience in the animal health sector.
• A strong grasp of Companion Animal pain management, including clinical practice, customer needs, and emerging scientific advancements.
• Proven experience in executing medical strategies, programs, and initiatives across various markets or regions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate intricate cross-functional projects within a global matrix environment.
• Experience in collaborating with marketing, commercial, medical affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional scientific communication skills and experience in creating and delivering medical presentations, training programs, educational content, and customer-facing scientific materials.
• Familiarity with engaging veterinary Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), specialists, academic institutions, and professional organizations.
• Ability to transform scientific data and medical insights into actionable and persuasive customer value propositions.
• Experience in gathering, interpreting, and integrating customer and market insights into medical initiatives and execution strategies.
• Proven capability to influence without direct authority and manage stakeholders across diverse functions, regions, and cultures.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• A track record of operational excellence, attention to detail, and successful execution of complex initiatives.
• Ability to lead and influence within a global matrix organization without direct authority.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
